LEVELS OF PBS
There are four levels of PBS: Tier 1: Universal PBS, classroom, Tier 2: Supplemental PBS, and Tier 3: Intensive PBS. Training and technical assistance are available across all levels pending district support for participation. To access training, School-wide PBS (SWPBS) must first be completed. After one year of implementation, a score of 70 or higher on the Benchmarks of Quality, and data that indicate a need to move into additional levels of PBS, then school teams can receive additional training. Please refer to the Request Services link for more information.

Tier 1: Universal PBS – Processes and procedures intended for all students and staff, in all settings and across campus. This level of SWPBS is intended to impact approximately 80% of your students and staff.

Classroom – Processes and procedures that reflect school-wide expectations for student behavior coupled with pre-planned strategies applied within classroom settings.

Tier 2: Supplemental PBS – Processes and procedures designed to address behavioral issues of groups of students with similar behavior problems or behaviors that seem to occur for the same reasons (i.e. attention seeking, escape) and/or across similar settings.

Tier 3: Intensive PBS – Processes and procedures that reflect school-wide expectations for student behavior coupled with team-based strategies to address problematic behaviors of individual students.
