TEAMING:

A lot of hands makes light work. Our team works well together by dividing and conquering the tasks at hand. By keeping team members informed via email and meetings, communication becomes a key factor. Our administrator keeps our calendar up to date and guides when needed.

In years past, it has been used to decide the number of paraprofessionals, principals, and teachers needed in the cafeteria. It also helps us realize the importance of being visible in the hallways. We share at our monthly faculty meetings, also via e-mail.

PBS information is shared with faculty and staff via regular emails, newsletters, mailbox flyers, announcements (news & intercom), faculty meetings and staff development sessions.

Strengths include: A. Communication B. Size C. Support of Administration

IMPLEMENTATION:
A. Rewarding students/Dragon diamonds, lots of choices, field day, etc. B. Student expectations, displayed through school and consistent.
OUTCOMES:
Consistent rules, students now strive towards model behavior, teachers more positively rewarding vs. focusing on negative behavior.

OBSTACLES:
Combining PBS expectations with other programs already in place at our school. How to handle new teachers.
