Florida's PBS Project identifies and selects PBS Model Schools every spring.
 
 
 

DESCRIPTION OF MODEL SCHOOLS

A PBS Model School is one that has met specific criteria and has demonstrated innovative, creative, and functional ways of supporting PBS in their respective school. Specific characteristics of PBS Model Schools are their consistent methods of: (1) utilizing their data to better serve the students and staff, (2) teaching PBS to new students throughout the school year, (3) creative and engaging reward systems, (4) extending PBS throughout the campus and partnering with the community, and (5) including PBS into daily activities across all available teaching opportunities. These PBS Model Schools have made a commitment to PBS and to their schools. Congratulations!

Criteria for becoming a PBS Model School in Florida include all of the following:

1) a high Benchmarks of Quality score indicating fidelity of SWPBS implementation,
2) outcome data (Mid-Year and End-of-the-Year Reports) indicating progress, and
3) a recommendation from a District Coordinator, PBS Coach, or PBS Project staff.
