~Our PBS committee is composed of the student support specialist, teachers, cultural arts teacher, ESE teachers, and the school social worker. Along with our PBS committee, the rest of our staff, including the principal and assistant principal, are supportive and eager to learn and implement PBS techniques. While our committee has a wide range of staff, we also open the door for all staff to come to us, email us, or come to PBS committee meetings to make suggestions or give input.
We use data from academic and behavioral interventions and outcomes, school wide discipline data, and individual student discipline data to determine areas to improve and reinforce to students and staff, as well as to show areas we have succeeded.
We share information through email, PBS meeting held at least monthly, faculty meeting, grade chair meetings, curriculum meetings, and monthly newsletters.
Our team’s strength is a strong commitment to the Thompson community and families. Our PBS project has impacted not only the school climate but has infiltrated into many of the students’ home lives. Our team continues to research new ways to teach our students that Character Counts! |
