TEAMING:
 
 

~Everyone believes that our students need to be taught expectations. All of the team leaders are on the PBS team, along with assistant representation. VPK, ESE, HEAD START, and Migrant are all represented by members of the team. Our Principal is very supportive, but lets the team make decisions.

Information, lesson plans, etc. are shared almost immediately in a variety of forums. Team leaders share information, team notes are disseminated, and new initiatives are sent via email to the entire staff.

Enthusiasm for the program is our team's greatest strength.

 
IMPLEMENTATION:
 
~I DID IT tickets are used by every teacher (including ancillary). Each teacher has a different color. Children can receive the tickets from anyone who sees them doing the “right thing”. All expectations are posted for each area and a power point lesson plan/book/presentation for each area has been made and distributed to all teachers.
 
OUTCOMES:
 
~The climate has changed from a “negative” vocabulary to a positive one. Teachers and Assistant teachers are caught saying things positively. The new signage stating all of our expectations are everywhere and many students and teachers and parents have been seen reading them.
 
  OBSTACLES:  
 
~Finances to print our posters and other expectation/lesson plan forms has been difficult. We also have limited funds to finance our incentive program. We do not have a PTO & our students are from a low financial community. Additionally, it is difficult to have meetings- time is an issue.
