IMPLEMENTATION QUOTES


	TEAMING:

	~Team feels free to discuss issues that will better the program. The Dean is the Coach at the Intermediate site. Every team K-5 is represented along with ESE and Related Arts. Our referrals are way down this year. We have moved forward with ideas such as recess before lunch because of the # of problems at that time last year. The team understands the role of this program and is excited about improving respect and attitude on our campus.

	IMPLEMENTATION:

	~Students earn Gatta try Everyday tickets everyday for doing the right thing. One ticket from each grade level and a staff ticket are draw everyday. Students are then able to pick from our prize box. We also do student of the month and week. Students are put on the AM news and get a prize, certificate and picture posted in the hall. Teachers are also re-teaching expectations when needed. Expectations are also gone over on the AM news.

	OUTCOMES:

	~Teachers are more positive with students. It’s not only what the students did inappropriately but also how great their classes are.

	OBSTACLES:

	~When we first started the program buy in from staff was the hardest thing to overcome. It was a shift from rules to expectations. The students are what helped overcome this obstacle. They wanted the rewards and in turned behaved better to receive something positive. As the behavior changed so did the teacher that were resistant. We have had a great staff that is very positive even with all the new things that they need to do each year. That was another big plus for our school.
