TEAMING:

What makes your team work so well?  Please discuss in detail (e.g., what is your administrator’s role on the team, how is staff represented, etc.)? We have representatives on our team from each grade level, guidance, administration, ESE, and coaches who meet regularly.  In addition, we have students participate in PBS meetings, as well as small group sessions.

How does your team use data to make decisions on campus?  Our team reviews the data regularly to make changes in presentation of strategies, rewards and consequences.

How do you share information with the rest of your faculty (e.g., emails, newsletters, meetings, etc.)?  How often do you share this information?  We have information posted in common areas; we discuss information at monthly staff meetings, and utilize emails, Connect Ed (automated phone system) and newsletters.

What do you see as the overall strengths of your team?  Please provide details.  Diversity and flexibility, as well leadership and cooperation among the team members.

IMPLEMENTATION:

In what areas of PBS does your team excel (e.g., rewarding students/staff, teaching expectations, data-based decision-making, etc.)?  Please provide details below.  Rewarding students and staff, sharing expectations, and data based decision making on a consistent basis.  Communication, teamwork and consistency are keys to our success.

OUTCOMES:

Discuss the changes you have seen on campus since PBS implementation (e.g., data, climate, morale, etc.).  We have observed a major decrease in office discipline referrals.  A structure has been developed for positive referral submission for teachers and teams.   There is more effective communication and cooperation with the transportation department.  The student motivation and staff and buy in are more apparent.

OBSTACLES:

What are some obstacles that your team has had to overcome?  Please explain the process for overcoming these hurdles below.  We had to develop a process for replacing team members.  Funding our PBS process that we have put in place was an issue.  We have utilized funds from USF, our SAEC, Talent Show fundraiser and local businesses/restaurants who have donated rewards.
