TEAMING:

What makes your team work so well?  Please discuss in detail (e.g., what is your administrator’s role on the team, how is staff represented, etc.)?  mixture of new and veteran members; consistent meeting date and place; time limits are kept for the meeting so it runs on time; humor is allowed and encouraged. We have also had consistent administration at TCHS since we began implementation.  PBS is a part of our school improvement plan.

How does your team use data to make decisions on campus? Data is reviewed at monthly meetings and decisions are made to impact problem areas at that time.

How do you share information with the rest of your faculty (e.g., emails, newsletters, meetings, etc.)?  How often do you share this information? Data is reviewed at monthly meetings and shared with faculty via email.

What do you see as the overall strengths of your team?  Please provide details.  We allow everyone to express opinions; there is administrative support;

IMPLEMENTATION:

In what areas of PBS does your team excel (e.g., rewarding students/staff, teaching expectations, data-based decision-making, etc.)?  Please provide details below.Rewarding students and data based decision making, Firm administrative support. We have great partners in education that help with rewards for students, food, or discounts for purchases we make.

OUTCOMES:

Discuss the changes you have seen on campus since PBS implementation (e.g., data, climate, morale, etc.). This is difficult to address since we were a new school when we began implementation.  We have managed to keep discipline referrals low for such a large high school.  In addition, we can see that if lose strength in implementation we see increases in discipline problems.

OBSTACLES:

What are some obstacles that your team has had to overcome?  Please explain the process for overcoming these hurdles below. We have had a rapid increase in population therefore we have hired many new staff.  Getting all staff trained and buying in to the process has been difficult.  Also since there are more than 225 teachers it is difficulty to conduct booster sessions and training sessions.
