TEAMING:
What makes your team work so well?  Please discuss in detail (e.g., what is your administrator’s role on the team, how is staff represented, etc.)? Our administrator is an active member of our T.E.A.M. and is dedicated to the PBS philosophy.  All members are active and attend meetings regularly.  The team maintains a professional attitude and generally comes to consensus easily.

How does your team use data to make decisions on campus? We look at our data monthly (if not more often) and have determined that we need more social skills curriculum training that includes bullying prevention and integration into our current curriculums.

How do you share information with the rest of your faculty (e.g., emails, newsletters, meetings, etc.)?  How often do you share this information?  In previous years we shared information/data monthly at faculty meetings.  This year we have struggled, due to the fact, we are not meeting as a faculty this year and doing Professional Learning Communities.  This year it has been on individual basis to look at students or classroom issues.

What do you see as the overall strengths of your team?  Please provide details. The team’s commitment!  Everyone is there and believes in what we are doing and that trickles down to the rest of the school TEAM.

IMPLEMENTATION:

In what areas of PBS does your team excel (e.g., rewarding students/staff, teaching expectations, data-based decision-making, etc.)?  Please provide details below. Our school is very Data driven and makes decisions based on the data.  This is definitely our area of strength.  We use data for both academic and behavior (PM2 and SWIS) decisions.  Our data has helped us look at our school and recognize we need to make some changes in our program.  Using data to guide this decision helps make the transition smoother and gives it validity.

OUTCOMES:
Discuss the changes you have seen on campus since PBS implementation (e.g., data, climate, morale, etc.).  Since implementation there has been a decrease in office referrals and an increase in data based decision making.  Although we have had increases in ODR’s over the years we are able to determine the source of the problems and make decisions based on the data.   We have attended the secondary training and the Bullying Prevention conference and plan to implement strategies next school year that allow for integration into the curriculum and changes in our current SW-PBS action plan.

OBSTACLES:

What are some obstacles that your team has had to overcome?  Please explain the process for overcoming these hurdles below. With changes in our demographics and increased responsibility and accountabilities for our teachers, we have struggled with implementation of a social skills curriculum. Based on our data and the fact that the state is changing Bullying Prevention legislation we are committed to finding strategies and interventions that can be integrated into our curriculums and our SW-PBS plan.
