TEAMING:

What makes your team work so well?  Please discuss in detail (e.g., what is your administrator’s role on the team, how is staff represented, etc.)?  We have a motivated team.  Each of us brings a unique perspective as well as representing a segment of the school. (Team, department, etc.)  Our administrators are an integral part.  They are committed to the “cause” and support what the committee and thereby the staff want and need.

How does your team use data to make decisions on campus? We meet monthly, more frequently at the start of the year, to determine which areas of the school need more supervision, which students need “mentoring”, and which teachers need assistance.

How do you share information with the rest of your faculty (e.g., emails, newsletters, meetings, etc.)?  How often do you share this information? Data is put out monthly from our administrator and is also highlighted in Faculty meetings.  Classes are also informed as well.

What do you see as the overall strengths of your team?  Please provide details.  Our overall strength is our commitment to children.  We are all here to make sure that all our students achieve their potential.

IMPLEMENTATION:

In what areas of PBS does your team excel (e.g., rewarding students/staff, teaching expectations, data-based decision-making, etc.)?  Please provide details below. Rewarding Students: Falcon Pride tickets for  weekly drawings, Accelerated Reading Tickets, and most of us have in-class incentives. Expectations:  At the start of the school year all the expectations are reviewed in class and on morning announcements.  These expectations are reinforced in classes.

OUTCOMES:

Discuss the changes you have seen on campus since PBS implementation (e.g., data, climate, morale, etc.). Morale:  Teachers are rarely absent, students are here. Data: Test scores equaling those of the “better” schools. Climate: Very few major incidents and our data is MUCH better than the other schools of our county.

OBSTACLES:

What are some obstacles that your team has had to overcome?  Please explain the process for overcoming these hurdles below.  We still have some staff who need to be brought into the fold.
