TEAMING:

What makes your team work so well?  Please discuss in detail (e.g., what is your administrator’s role on the team, how is staff represented, etc.)? We organize the meetings and share our data with our team, the school, and the community. Our PBS team is and excellent representation of our school. We have teachers, support staff, and the administration represented on our team.

How does your team use data to make decisions on campus? With our data we can determine how effective our plan is actually working. Adjustments are made based on our academic and discipline data to better motivate our students and teachers.

How do you share information with the rest of your faculty (e.g., emails, newsletters, meetings, etc.)?  How often do you share this information? Info is shared with our staff with our faculty monthly and with the community with our PBS data wall in our lobby and our school website.

What do you see as the overall strengths of your team?  Please provide details. Complete buy in of the process. We all have very different personalities and that makes for some very enlightening debates.

IMPLEMENTATION:

In what areas of PBS does your team excel (e.g., rewarding students/staff, teaching expectations, data-based decision-making, etc.)?  Please provide details below. Our students love our reward system they can’t wait to take part in our PRIDE markets and our extended lunches. Our teachers are excited with our teacher of the month award. This award is voted on completely by the students.

OUTCOMES:

Discuss the changes you have seen on campus since PBS implementation (e.g., data, climate, morale, etc.). Teachers are more aware of our situation based on the open discussion of data. The idea of consistency is more apparent as far the different grade levels are concerned.

OBSTACLES:

What are some obstacles that your team has had to overcome?  Please explain the process for overcoming these hurdles below.

  • Consistency as far 6th grade goes, this ongoing…
  • Redesigned the 7th the grade system
  • ontinually redesigning the 8th grade honor card system
